The Word of God is packed-full of his promises for us, the Bible is the ultimate source for truth and God is faithful to fulfill all His promises in our lives.
Isaiah 41:13 For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.
Upon this, we base our minds knowing that we have a Helper(God), who has promised to lead us as he holds our right hand and so we need not fear as he has promised to help us. And all that we can do, we read the promises of God, claim them over your lives, inorder to experience freedom from addictions, deliverance from sin and evil, financial provision, hope for lost and hurting family and friends, overcoming depression, recovering a marriage, good health, healing, being free from fear and anxiety, strength, and many more are the blessings and gifts that God’s promises to provide for those who believe in Him.
Certain of His promises, makes a covering over our lives without which every of our effort is tantamount to nothing. Let’s take a glaring look at some of God’s promises for us today:
Deuteronomy 28:13 And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:
This is obligational in that it is our responsibility to carry out his stipulated Commands, for us to behold the manifestation of His written Word.
Romans 12:19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
This is another of God’s promises that places us off-limits in responding to physical offences and abuses, giving room for us to exercise an operational God fearing spirit which leads to self control, one of the qualities we are commanded in 2 Pet 1:5 to be added to our faith.
As we keep the faith and trust in Him, God has rightly promised to fight for us, that means we are good to go about our daily plans and activities without any fear of the unknown.
Deuteronomy 3:22 Ye shall not fear them: for the LORD your God he shall fight for you. Exodus 14:14 The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.
Certain persecutions are wholistically experienced in the Christendom but we have a right approach to always prevail through His Word.
Isaiah 43:2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
God has promised and indeed He will not fail and so we take solace in His written Word and in prayers, he guides us through even as He has promised and will not break his convenant
Isaiah 54:10 For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the LORD that hath mercy on thee.
We also have the promise of eternal life when we walk in the light of His Word and exercise godliness. The Scriptures says that this is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation.
1 Timothy 4:8-9 For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.
This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation.
Thank you Father for your promises written for me in Your Word by which my life is blessed and made easy, therefore I claim them all and my life becomes a testimony for others to glorify you in Jesus Christ Holy name Amen.
